In order to further sharper his management and administration knowledge, she also studies and awarded MBA in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009. Belton was a small factory supplying coil winding for Hard Dick Drive (HDD) industry in1988. Before Catherine joined the company, its revenue was about US$ 80M. Catherine has assisted the group to expand the business in producing more parts/systems for the HDD industry, diversifying into Ultra-Capacitor Cells for the automotive industry as well as through acquiring a competitor in Japan the revenue of the Group has grown to around US$ 705M in 2018. Belton is now the largest Actuator Supplier for HDD in the world.
Catherine is certainly a very successful entrepreneur assisting a family business to grow into a very competitive international business through modern management, strategy and technology. I don't have any reservation in supporting Ms. Catherine Chan to be one of the GBA Outstanding Women Entrepreneur awardees in the year of 2019.
